If you find that no matter what lash curler you buy, they never seem to work properly for you, know that you are not alone. Biologist Adele Bakjtiarova has the same problem, so she and her company Voir Creations designed the first custom eyelash curler.
To fit each individual eye shape, the cosmetic tool is paired with a 3D scanning app for your smartphone. Currently fundraising on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, Voir is a first in the world of beauty. Custom-made for every woman's eyes, the lash-curling devices are 3D printed too.
This has interesting implications for mass produced customization and how cheap printing methods can be applied to everything from outsourced prototype printing to elegant 3D printed prosthetics.
