SANY Unveils Its SE636 Heavy Truck

SANY introduced the SE636 heavy truck at IAA Transportation 2026, a battery-powered 4x2 commercial vehicle built for European operations and equipped with a 636 kWh battery pack. The model offers an advertised range of up to 500 kilometers and weighs 10.9 tonnes at curb weight, with EU type approval and units already in service in Germany, Turkey, and other European markets. The SE636 is positioned as a production-ready battery-electric heavy truck designed for fleet use.

The brand presented the SE636 alongside battery-electric cargo trucks and electric concrete mixer variants, underscoring its multi-application capability. At the show, SANY ran a two-kilometer test route where operators experienced smooth acceleration, energy-recovery performance and a quiet cabin. The company also notes over 70,000 electric heavy trucks in service globally with more than 20 million cumulative operational kilometers. For fleets the SE636 promises certified range and production-ready hardware paired with a local service network for long-term operation.

Its combination of type approval, operational data and aftermarket support makes it a practical option for commercial electrification, and it reinforces SANY’s long-term European plans.
