This kimchi pasta recipe puts an Asian flair on a classic dish. The kimchi macaroni and cheese -- or 'Mac and Kimcheese Dolsot Bibim-Mac' -- was created by the site I Am A Food Blog. Made with traditional ingredients like macaroni and cheddar cheese, the recipe also calls for chopped kimchi and a sac of mentaiko. Mentaiko, according to the blogger, is "cod (or pollock) roe, made spicy and red by way of marination with salt and red pepper" is both creamy and with a bit of spice to go with the kimchi pasta.

The dish was also concocted to celebrate the birth of a friend and was designed to present several aspects: the southern US as well as Chinese and Korean heritage.
