'KENN Brutal' by Kenyon Yeh Offers Interesting Form & Function

Topsy-turvy furniture pieces will enliven any interior with a quirky twist, and this cool shelving unit, called 'KENN Brutal,' definitely fits the bill. Designed by Kenyon Yeh, the 'KENN Brutal' shelving unit features intersecting angles all coming together to provide functional storage space.

Yeh, who believes that personality can be translated into any design, has given a basic shelf much character and whimsicality. Open geometric forms have been attached to drawers, which provides different ways to store and place items including books, clothes and picture frames. According to the designer's site, another interesting element that has been incorporated into the 'KENN Brutal' design is an "aged minute English chair leg," which, placed within different parts of the shelf, delivers an interesting contrast between the old and new.
