Hyper-Real Body Art

Johannes Stoetter Covers up His Subjects to the Extreme

Even if one tries to the utmost extreme, it's still hard to see the human behind this artwork by Johannes Stoetter. The body painter is able to completely conceal his subjects, making it next to impossible to discern them from the animal they have morphed into.

The only photo where onlookers can actually see the human canvas is through photos taken when Johannes Stoetter is mid-process. One can almost see the faint outline of how he turns his subjects into hyper-real animals, but it's extremely difficult to discern in the final images.

In 2012, Johannes Stoetter achieved the World Body Painting Champion title, and for good reason. He is able to completely transform his subjects to the absolute extreme, and fool audience members in the process.
