Portland-based engineer and creative Nate Barr launches a Kickstarter for his wonderfully artistic and whimsical jigsaw puzzle coasters. Boasting the appearances of animals — from llamas and toucans to bears and sloths, the products come in six different laser-cut designs that are assembled by hand. The set is comprised out of four coasters with the same animal but different coloring, which allows for the jigsaw puzzle coasters to be assembled and customized by the consumers.
Crafted out of wood, the household products are made in the United States. The geometric pieces are finished with an outdoor stain that absolutely guarantees no loss of color. In addition, to keep them from being pulled up by glass condensation, Nate Barr and his team create a patent-pending locking system for the jigsaw puzzle coasters.
