The intensity of jalapeño peppers often means that the ingredient is added to condiments in moderation but Trader Joe's new Jalapeño Sauce boasts a recipe that's made up of more than 50% of the spicy pepper. While the condiment undoubtedly has a kick to it, it is also described as being smooth, creamy and not overwhelmingly hot.
While dairy products are often used to cut through the heat of spicy peppers, this condiment is vegan and made with just a few simple ingredients, including canola oil, cane sugar and select spices. The versatile hot sauce can be used on everything from eggs to enchiladas and chips.
As Millennials become interested in flavors that are bigger, bolder and hotter than before, the demand for spicy foods and sauces only continues to increase.
