J. Powers Bowman creates incredibly detailed illustrations of landscapes that are in fact surprisingly in-complex when looked at through a close distance.

The artist uses so many lines in his illustrations that create amazing shading when observed on a closer scale. However, the details disappear from a distance and turn the artwork into a mind-boggling composition, also in effect of the grandiosity of its scale.

Other than challenging the viewer’s sight capabilities, the work also creates an extensive observatory experience. It is definitely one that requires constant zooming when looked electronically.

His details vary exponentially in scale in an exhilarating fashion. They are repetitively illustrated simple patterns that are created in such a persistence and accuracy that the outcome is a phenomenally gorgeous visual experience.
