Itseez3D is an app that can convert any picture you take with your iOS camera -- including those painstakingly captured selfies -- into 3D objects. The app was created in partnership with computer vision technology company Occipital.
This kind of 3D scanning ability was previously only possible with expensive technology, but now anyone with an iPad and a Structure Sensor -- produced by Occipital -- can create 3D models of objects and people.
To scan an object, you simply open the Itseez3D app and circle your iPhone or iPad around the desired object. You can then upload the scan onto a browser-based 3D design viewer.
