Following in the footsteps of other QSR chains looking for international flavor inspiration, TacoTime has debuted a new wrap called the Island Pork Burrito, which features distinct Caribbean flavors. While Mexican and Caribbean cuisine may seem world's apart, TacoTime has managed to combine ingredients from both regions to put an unexpected twist on the burrito.
The Island Pork Burrito is a hearty wrap that combines shredded pork carnitas with seasoned rice, shredded cabbage, green onion, spicy pepper jack cheese and cool sour cream. For a hint of Caribbean flavor, the burrito also contains pineapple jalapeno pico de gallo and a slightly sweet honey sriracha aioli sauce. All of the ingredients are then wrapped up in a home-style tortilla and grilled until warm and toasty.
