Rogers Communications is a Canadian telecom company that's now positioning itself as a leading IoT service provider, specifically for companies that lack the ability to manage infrastructures of their own.
Rogers is working in partnership with BlueRover in order to help companies discover opportunities and manage some of the technical aspects of IoT. This service has the potential to add value to connected farming equipment and resource management, as well as other applications.
As of now, Rogers is the first telecom company in Canada to offer IoT solutions, but as the Internet of Things continues to grow, it won't likely be the last. Research from IDC Canada reports that: "More than 45% of Canadian organizations are deploying some form of IoT solutions, and the market is expected to reach $13.5 billion in value by 2019."
