On March 8th, Plan International Canada is celebrating International Women's Day with a unique campaign. Instead of simply educating Canadians about the need to empower young women, this initiative uses 3D technology to convey its message.

The 'Lift Her Up' campaign is a unique initiative that aims to spark a real conversation about how the messages young women hear each day can impact their confidence. To convey this message, Plan International Canada is setting up a booth in the Toronto Eaton Centre. The booth will be equipped with 3D technology projecting a holographic image of a young girl. Participants are then asked to send messages of empowerment via the hashtag '#LiftHerUp.' These messages will impact the holographic girl in different ways, thereby demonstrating how important it is for Canadians to support young women.

In addition to raising awareness for International Women's Day 2016, Scotiabank will also donate $1 to Plan International's 'Because I am a Girl' initiative every time a message with the hashtag #LiftHerUp is liked, shared or commented on.
