In honor of International Peace Day, artists and designers put together a show in London's Protein Studio featuring a series of symbolic totems meant to represent that utopian quality.
The United Nations conceived of International Peace Day as a way to celebrate peace among nations, and it has since grown into a day of note in and of itself. The artists who crafted totems include Bompas & Parr, John Booth, Damien Poulain, and Marcus Walters. Their totems range in representation, from more literal depictions of the word "peace" to abstract representational structures depicting the work of aid organizations around the world.
After the cessation of the event, the totems will be auctioned off to the public, with proceeds going to Amnesty International.
