Instagram is not only a platform for Instagram photographers who want to share with the world what they had for lunch; it’s also the perfect place for amateur and professional photographers to experiment with visuals and hone their photography technique.
One such Instagram photographer, René Charles Ritchie (@renecharlesritchie), came across his #swayingstructures phenomenal technique by accident, and now it’s popping up all over Instagram. "I was taking a vertical panorama photo of a building and didn’t keep the phone straight. The result turned out to be pretty cool," says Ritchie.
The Instagrammer from Portland, Oregon got encouraging feedback for the swaying building effect and the #swayingstructures quickly caught on. "I let a few people in on the secret of how to take a #swayingstructures photo and was blown away by their posts. Every time I see one coming through my feed, I get really excited," says Ritchie.
