Photon Studio's Mateusz Jóźwiak embarked on the quest for innovative apartment design with a new project that will house himself and his partner. The Box in the Box Apartment is located in Poznań, Poland. The apartment showcases "spaciousness, functionality, and natural materials, all centered around a clever light-colored birch plywood structure." Jóźwiak removed most of the original walls, using birch plywood to form individual rooms and create a "box in a box" concept. As the name might already hint, the innovative apartment features various hidden storage options that will help the owners to maintain a clutter-free environment. In the living room, peg shelving within the plywood box structures is included, allowing the residents to display books and store electronic devices. The private area of the apartment is enclosed within the monolithic and inverted structure to provide privacy.
