Taking inspiration from the industrial buildings in Hong Kong, the Kanban Industrial Side Table is an exercise in Brutalist design that's surprisingly suitable for a variety of different purposes and spaces.

Featuring a concrete base and a floating tabletop crafted from steel, the Kanban Industrial Side Table is rather stark in aesthetic, yet adds a certain level of texture and charm thanks to the raw materials used to create it.

Designed by Andrea Ponti, the Kanban Industrial Side Table is an example of a product with a backstory that helps encourage the familiarity of the piece of the owner.

As consumers look for ways to incorporate more personality into their living spaces with having to travel the world, we'll likely continue to see more pieces that take inspiration from unexpected sources.
