The In a Park flat uses double bullnose bricks to shape a soft architectural atmosphere by bringing 571 curved bricks, normally used for exterior edges, into the interior as walls, benches and framing elements. The rounded profile creates continuous transitions around corners and openings, giving the rooms a calm, sculpted quality. Light catches the curved surfaces differently throughout the day, adding depth and movement without relying on ornament. The bricks introduce tactility and colour variation that balance the flat’s minimal joinery and large glazed areas, allowing the interior to feel grounded while remaining open.
The approach treats the home as a crafted environment rather than a standard apartment layout. Each brick element reinforces the theme of gentle forms and natural flow, echoing the project’s name and its park-like sensibility.
