Volkswagen's I.D. Buzz electric microbus was first shown off as a concept vehicle in 2017, but the German-automaker has finally confirmed the production of a commercial version of the electric microbus. Striking a perfect balance between futuristic aesthetics and retro styling, the I.D. Buzz is sure to evoke images of the iconic minibus of the 60s. A commercial version of the electric microbus will also be produced, known as the I.D. Buzz Cargo.
The standard version of the I.D. Buzz electric microbus will feature a uniquely powerful battery that charges to 80% in just 15 minutes. This is thanks to a 150kW fast-charge system that ensures the vehicle is always ready to drive. The electric microbus will also come equipped with a cargo-tracking system to help drivers keep a virtual eye on their cargo.
