Artist Mike Karolos has applied his uniquely colorful and geometric illustration style to recreate iconic album covers.
Prince's Purple Rain, Beyonce's Lemonade and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons are some of the re-imagined covers Karolos sought inspiration from. The artist brings the viewer into his own artistic universe filled with symmetry and bright hues, where they can briefly be fooled that all album covers are created with cartoonish charm.
The Athen's based graphic designer explains that music plays a huge role in his creative process. He drew inspiration for each individual design from lyrics, original artwork, or the general feel of the album creating a final products that encompassed minimalism, boldness, and at times, humor.
The geometric and colorful illustration style embodies these iconic album covers in ways that are both charming and unusual.
