Reimagined Pop-Culture Music Genres

Disney's A Whole New Sound Imagines Classics in New Genres

Disney introduces A Whole New Sound which is a new album that entirely reimagines classic songs with a new angle, turning familiar tunes into genres such as pop-punk and rock. It launched on September 6 digitally and will be released on vinyl on October 4th comprised of Disney classics performed by pop artists, alt-rock artists, and more. Fans are expected to hear sounds by "New Found Glory, Mayday Parade, Simple Plan, Magnolia Park, Yellowcard, We The Kings, Plain White T's, Meet Me @ The Altar, Boys Like Girls, Tokio Hotel, LØLØ, and Bowling For Soup."

Simple Plan shares, “We grew up watching Disney movies with our families and now we get to enjoy them with our own kids, so it’s pretty amazing to have been invited to be on this album. We wanted to pay homage to Sir Elton John’s original version while also adding our own style to it and making it sound fun and energetic. We’re really stoked by how it turned out and we hope everyone will enjoy it."
