While Icelandair already offers a week-long stopover in the country for no extra charge, now they are sweetening the deal by providing designated travel buddies for those who book between now and April 30th.

As part of its original layover promotion, Icelandair is giving passengers the opportunity to request their own personal 'Stopover Buddy' for the duration of their trip. These companions will take travelers out shopping, skiing, dining or to any other Icelandic attraction. There are specific Stopover Buddies that specialize in food, lifestyle, culture and health, meaning there is a perfect guide for every kind of traveler. The airline even offers 30-second video interviews with each guide so Icelandair passengers can be sure they are choosing the right travel companion.
