Icelandair is Expanding Its Route to Include the Faroe Islands

By expanding its route to the Faroe Islands, affordable airway company Icelandair allows Canadians to indulge in an unforgettable archipelago getaway. Travelers from Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, and Montreal can now enjoy direct flights from Reykjavik's Keflavík International Airport to the Faroes’ Vágar Airport starting May 2024.

The Faroe Islands, with its 18 small islands in the Northeast Atlantic, offer a serene escape characterized by steep cliffs, epic mountains, and narrow fjords. From exploring the famous “hanging lake” Sørvagsvátn to capturing the iconic Múlafossur falls, there's no shortage of natural wonders to discover during the archipelago getaway. Visitors can also immerse themselves in Tórshavn, the capital city named after Norse god Thor, or wander through picturesque turf-roofed hamlets like Saksun and Kirkjubøur.

Additionally, Icelandair offers a stopover program, allowing travelers to extend their trip with a visit to Iceland at no extra airfare cost.
