My Yeti's Ice Cream Packaging Design Engages Kids with Augmented Reality

On top of being drawn to the bright colors and fun characters depicted on My Yeti's ice cream wrappers, kids and parents alike will be interested in the fact that the frozen snacks are paired with entertainment-providing augmented reality cartoons.

While there are plenty of brand mascots that remain one-dimensional and never quite come to life beyond product packaging, My Yeti introduces an entire cast of characters that kids can join in adventures. A family of snow people is introduced to kids through a series of 20 cartoons, which are assigned to the different ice cream products at random.

As a result of integrating augmented reality technology into its packaging, My Yeti found that it was successful in changing the reason people want to purchase the product, which led to increased sales and repeat purchases.
