We’ve seen a number of CUVs, or crossover utility vehicles, in the past few months, but the New York Auto Show debut of the Hyundai Nuvis is a particularly promising design.

The Hyundai Nuvis does not have a typical switch gear assembly; instead, its interiors are packed with touch-sensitive surfaces that result in what Autoblog rightly refers to as a river of information. It’s thought that the design cues the Hyundai Nuvis showcases at the 2009 New York Auto Show will bleed into the future generations of other Hyundai crossovers like the Tucson and Santa Fe.
