Painter Kang Kang-Hoon creates hyper-realistic art that focuses in on peculiar people. At first glance, Kang-Hoon’s art looks an awful lot like photography, but they’re actually all extremely lifelike paintings of some rather strange characters.
In some of these bizarre paintings, Kang-Hoon depicts people making odd facial expressions while they do odd things. For example, in one painting there’s a woman rocking curlers who is looking pretty snarky. At first glance, it looks like she’s eating chips, but if you look closely she seems to be pulling the pin out of a grenade.
In another shot there’s an odd ball pulling a silver pin through his nose. The most unusual picture here depicts a man who is fully dressed, but has shampoo in his hair and gum on his nose. Kang-Hoon’s works are as bizarre as they are realistic.
