It would be easy to dismiss the fashion looks featured throughout the HUGE ‘No One, Nothing, No Wave’ editorial as inspired by the punk culture. Nevertheless, these supposedly ‘punk’ outfits are slightly off, which will send people sniffing through the pages looking for the reason behind the discrepancies. Essentially, stylist Tsuyoshi Noguchi has played with preppy pieces that have been given a punk makeover.
The HUGE ‘No One, Nothing, No Wave’ editorial was shot by Benny Horne for the ninth anniversary issue of the Japanese magazine. Model Eniko Mihalik rocks blazers studded with menacing spikes, mini argyle sweater vests and ballooning letterman jackets for looks that are slightly avant-garde yet still familiar. Latex and stripes also make an appearance.
