'WeShelter' is a new fundraising app designed to help benefit homeless organizations in New York City. Rather than donating your own money, the WeShelter app helps unlock corporate funds and donates them towards a good cause.
To use the app, simply tap a button on the main screen. Each time you tap the screen, a corporate sponsor will provide a donation to a local homeless organization. While the amount donated varies based on the corporate sponsor, each tap is generally equivalent to about five cents. Beyond donations, you can also use the WeShelter app to get direct help for individuals on the street. If you see someone in need, the app will help connect you to the city’s non-emergency hotline.
While helping the homeless may seem like an insurmountable task, you can be part of the solution simply by using WeShelter app.
