Yota Kakuda Designs the Home Tap Inspired by a Brewing Concept

Japanese designer Yota Kakuda designs the new 'Home Tap' -- it is a beer keg that is created from a design-forward approach. It was designed specifically for Kirin's delivery service, bringing comfort to at-home drinking from an angle that boasts sophistication. The Home Tap's overall design is inspired by a design entitled 'tank-to-glass' -- it really emphasizes the quality of beer that is delivered straight from the brewery.

The keg comes with Kirin's subscription service and it comes in a refrigerated vehicle to ensure that the beverages are of the highest quality. Sets of 1-liter bottles will be delivered straight to the door twice a month. The exterior of the keg is cylindrical and white, coated with a material that prevents oxygen from entering and permeating the drink.
