Kombu, a San Francisco startup focusing on kombucha, has officially showcased its new at-home kombucha brewer for CES 2025 attendees. The Fermenstation simplifies the kombucha-crafting process by using a low-heating temperature-controlled system to maintain a consistent temperature that is suitable for kombucha brewing. The device also features a sleek design that occupies less counter space and maintains a high-end aesthetic.

Beyond its visual appeal, the Kombu device prioritizes safety and convenience. Creating a sealed, sterile environment minimizes the risk of harmful bacteria contaminating the fermentation process, addressing a common concern for home brewers.

The device pairs with a companion app, adding a high-tech touch to fermentation. The app allows users to control the device remotely, set timers, adjust and monitor temperature settings, and receive real-time notifications about their brew’s progress. This level of connectivity empowers users to customize and perfect their brewing experience with ease.
