There are certainly perfectionists and control freaks among furniture designers, but the creator of the Hol collection may not be one of them. What we can deduce about Tim DeFleur is that he recognizes the consumer's interest in customizing furnishings and he ensures that a bit of freedom is fostered with respect to finishing each piece.
This particular set comprises a floating shelf, a tall console and a coffee table. While the dimensions of each one are different, every object features a hole cut out from one end of its flat wooden surface. It looks as though the Hol collection would come with special buckets, platters and lamps that would fit perfectly within these round gaps, enabling you to complete the modular movables with inset planters, wine chillers, illuminators and dishes.
