At CES 2020, ASICS offered a pair of high-tech running shoes with a specialized smart sensor from No New Fol Studios for preview. Now, the company is announcing that the footwear model—which excites athletes for its high-performance promises—is available for pre-order on the Japanese crowdfunding site Makuake. Its retail price is set to be approximately $323 USD. The model is also available without the microcomputer for about $107 USD.
The high-tech running shoes are dubbed the 'Evoride Orphe.' A microcomputer has been inserted into its midsole. Thans to this innovation, the footwear model can offer a "six-axis motion sensor that also measures barometric pressure and vibration." The data is fed into a mobile application that processes it and "offers feedback on gait and suggests training programs to try."
