The SkiSea is a high-speed boat concept, developed in Australia, that makes use of special high-tech skis that provide lift much like a hydrofoil.
The final production model of the SkiSea measures 8.25 x 3.5 meters, while its aluminum hull measures 7 x 3 meters. The vessel itself is powered by a pair of 300-horsepower engines that give the craft cruising speeds between 65 and 75 km/h, not to mention top speeds well over 93 km/h. The vessel weighs as much as 3.1 tons, but you wouldn't even know it looking at the way it makes a mockery of rough waves to cruise through the sea.
With its unique ski-embracing design and structure, the SkiSea is redefining what a high-speed boat will do thanks to its ability to stay rapid even in rough conditions.
