Hydrofoiling Electric Boats

Navier's 'N30' Boat Promises Eco-Friendly Waterway Transportation

Navier, a San Francisco-based company that is dedicated to crafting marine vessels that are designed to enable clean, quiet and safe transportation in order to better take advantage of the world's waterways, is preparing to launch the 'N30,' an innovative electric boat that utilizes foiling technology.

This six-seater electric boat is fitted with a pair of 90-kilowatt motors that enable it to attain a top speed of 30 knots whilst observing a range of up to around 160 km when cruising. By utilizing a foiling mechanism, the boat is capable of coasting above the waves in order to make for a smooth ride.

The 'N30' electric boat is currently being readied to transport workers on 30-minute rides as part of a pilot program that the company states aims to showcase the boats' utility in carrying out waterway transportation in areas where ferries aren't readily available, all without emitting any carbon.
