CISC Tests Wiliot IoT Pixels at 6,500 Units Per Hour

CISC semiconductor's high-speed IoT testers are helping Wiliot scale production of its battery-free IoT Pixels through a standardized quality-assurance process. The optimized BLE Xplorer solution performs near-field functionality tests at speeds of up to 6,500 units per hour, per lane, compared to approximately 1,500 units using conventional stop-and-go stations. Each IoT Pixel receives an individual pass-or-fail result, allowing manufacturers to test 100% of production output and identify faulty units earlier.

The system could make it easier for Wiliot to expand its manufacturing network by reducing the custom engineering typically required when suppliers establish new production lines. Faster onboarding and parallel testing configurations can also support rising production volumes. As Wiliot's Physical AI platform expands across retail, logistics, food and beverage, and transportation, greater IoT Pixel availability could enable wider adoption of automated inventory, shipment verification, temperature monitoring, and asset-tracking applications.
