Denis Montel of Rena Dumas Architecture Interieure is the mastermind behind the newly renovated Hermes Beverly Hills Boutique on Rodeo Drive. The design features a lively sculptural feel, achieved through a massive spiral staircase under a Halo-inspired, open-concept roof. Beyond looking pretty cool, this coiled roof design also lets in a lot of natural light. The light output of the roof is controlled via a protective layer of glass, which softens or illuminates the light according to the time of day.
As for the staircase itself, which features white Venetian plaster, Montel describes the concept as "fluid" and "inviting." The mosaic –tiled path towards the staircase is also curved, continuing the vibrantly sculpted aesthetic. Montel has created a luminous and chiseled space for the classic brand. In turn, Hermes has commissioned an exclusive scarf design to celebrate the launch of store renovation. Featuring palm trees, extensive blue hues and a mosaic border, the scarf epitomizes the quintessential Beverly Hills aesthetics.
