Thanks to the innovative efforts of Japanese company Asahi Power Service, high-tech hands-free umbrellas can soon be a reality. With the ever-growing robotic industry, creatives, designers and other people speculate about the future of lifestyle. Fast food restaurant McDonald's, for one, has a really interesting future-forward commercial that vividly describes everyday life 50 years from now.
Asahi Power Service brings us one step closer with its drone-operated hands-free umbrella concept. Named the 'Free Parasol,' the product is demonstrated in a video, where it is operated remotely. However, Asahi Power Service is planning to incorporate AI technology and cameras prior to the official release, which will allow the Free Parasol to track and fly directly above the owner's head, making it a true high-tech hands-free umbrella.
