A newly designed grass-topped home straddles the line between urbanism and nature in, what seems to be, a perfect balance. The home is located in the Hlubocepy district in the Czech Republic and the structure was designed by RO_AR who strategically orchestrated the "clash of two geometries."
The side of the grass-topped home is riddled with sophisticated contemporary sensibilities featuring a rectilinear facade. Toward the back of the structure, one is met with a more whimsical "hill-like" aesthetic that is achieved through the curving roof and its grass-topped concrete base. In order to strengthen connections to nature, RO_AR also designed a paved patio, featuring lots of flora and fauna, as well as a small pond.
