Wood-Cladding Grand Hotels

YOD Group Designs the New Natural Grand Emily Resort Hotel

Design agency YOD Group designs the interior of the new Grand Emily Hotel Lobby as well as the Terra restaurant by Lviv. The highlighting element is the use of Thermory's rustic wood that is seen in cladding throughout the space. The hotel and restaurant are designed with a natural aesthetic in mind, along with a tactile experience as well.

This aesthetic is able to be obtained by using materials that look natural and blending materials that don't innately appear so with natural materials. It is seen in shades of Black Pearl and Smoked Brandy as the lobby is detailed with what the agency describes as 'touchable surfaces.' Volodymyr Nepiyvoda, Group Designer at YOD states, "We aimed to get the visual lightness and tell the story about the morning breeze that passes on the lake surface and combs the reeds."
