The Godzilla Fossil is an alternate LEGO Dinosaur Fossils build created by designer Laurens Posthuma using the 477 pieces included in LEGO's Dinosaur Fossils set. The fan-designed model reconfigures the existing elements into a skeletal version of Godzilla without requiring additional parts or custom components. The completed display measures approximately 37 cm long, 12 cm wide and 27 cm tall, with articulated arms, head, tail and an opening jaw mounted on a stable display base.
The build instructions were created with LEGO's Stud.io digital design software and are available as a downloadable PDF. The tail incorporates a dedicated support post similar to those used in the original dinosaur skeleton models to maintain stability. The release follows the approval of Matthew Esposito's Monsterverse-inspired Godzilla through the LEGO Ideas review process, with an official retail set currently in development.
