Dockless bike-sharing services have become increasingly popular in cities around the world, and Austin, Texas, is looking to get in on the transportation development with the GOAT app. Rather than renting out bikes, though, the platform offers a fleet of dockless electric scooters available to rent by anyone for highly affordable rates.

Not only does the GOAT app give Austinites access to a large fleet of electric scooters, but it's also a lot more affordable than other public or private transit options. The GOAT app charges $1 to ride plus fifteen cents per minute of ride time, meaning that riders can easily spend less than the cost of a bus ride or the cost of gas when driving.
