'Airbnbmag' is the name of a new community-focused global travel magazine from Airbnb. The all-new print publication has been launched in collaboration with Hearst Magazines, offering those with wanderlust a variety of content, from travel tips to stories. Although the first issue spotlights destinations like London, Detroit, Cuba and Australia, the content has been crafted to inspire a local, yet universal feel by connecting travelers with a larger global community.
In 2014, Airbnb also experimented with its own print publication by launching 'Pineapple,' an ad-free magazine to inspire both new and seasoned travelers alike.
Across multiple industries, many Internet-based companies are experimenting with the launch of TV commercials, brick-and-mortar shops and online-to-offline activations as a means of expanding their influence and reaching consumers in unexpected places.
