The Hoff Bed not only looks stylish, itâ€"perhaps more importantly for a bedâ€"looks extremely comfortable. Italian designer Giuseppe Chigiotti designed the bed, and the matching sofa. He also designed a number of other everyday items that all have an Italian element.
Giuseppe Chigiotti studied Architecture at the University of Firenze in Italy. All of his designs could be summed up with one word: bellissimo.
Implications - As the recession is slowly disappearing, the desire for luxury items is increasing. Consumers are looking for a way to treat themselves to something exclusive. Companies can hone in on this desire for a bit of prestige among the growing market of customers who want to forget the downfall of the economy.
