'Ghibli Park' is Slated to Open in 2022
Studio Ghibli has produced some of the most beloved anime in the history of the genre, and its works are among the few to have achieved broad appeal on the other side of the Pacific, so the announcement of 'Ghibli Park' is sure to get fans around the world excited. The 200-hectare theme park will include zones for many of the studio's films, and the entire park will indeed adhere to the auteurism of the studio as a whole.

While concept art has been released and Ghibli Park will indeed come to bear eventually, it isn't expected to open until 2022 (after being postponed from an original estimate of 2020). In either case, the finished product, which will be built on a sprawling tract of land in the Aichi Prefecture, will no doubt impress.
