The Flyover Country Identifies Passing Geological Locations from the Sky

For flyers that enjoy gazing out of the window while out at the various geological locations below, the Flyover Country app is an ideal accessory to have to help identify what is seen out of the window. The app is able to provide more information on the rivers, plains and mountains below by pulling from a carefully curated database. This allows travellers to learn more about the areas they are passing over while they have the benefit of enjoying an aerial view.

The Flyover Country platform is a tool put together by Shane Loeffler that makes use of a smartphone's GPS signal to track the flyer's location and chart the settings they see below. The app has the best functionality when the skies below the aircraft are clear.
