London's Snowflake produces handcrafted artisan luxury gelato desserts made from all-natural ingredients—avocado is at the center of its newest creation.
The 'Avo-Lato' is a refreshing dessert that is composed of 60% Hass avocado and takes after the form of the popular fruit. The vegan gelato is served inside of an avocado skin, complete with an edible pit that is made from a mouthwatering combination of peanut butter, flax seeds, walnuts, almonds and soy milk. As Snowflake's head gelato chef Silvia Gaetta describes, "It’s not just a new flavor—it is a form of art."
Since the Avo-Lato gelato dessert is served inside the shell of a real avocado and served with a bamboo spoon, a minimal amount of waste is produced.
