Garden City of the Crescent Moon Imagines Paris of the Future

Architecture firm Rescubika is envisioning the future of Paris with the Garden City of the Crescent Moon concept, which centers on sustainability and environmentally friendly living. Based on the winding shape of Lac des Minimes in the Bois de Vincennes, the site is set on the largest public park the city. Complete with plenty of green spaces, the concept promises to introduce new ways for people to access locally sourced food. In addition to supporting the growth of corn, beans, herbs and other plants, the concept could also be a destination for cattle and other animals.

The unique mix of urban landscapes, agriculture and livestock offers a fresh vision for a city that thrives on locally grown ingredients to fuel farmers’ markets and farm-to-table restaurants.
