Clovers Has Revealed Okami 2 And Its Audio Leads

Hideki Kamiya formed Clovers after leaving PlatinumGames in 2023 and returned in late 2024 with a studio paired with a teaser for Okami 2. Clovers is centered on the Okami sequel and is assembling core creative talent to work on that project and future releases. The studio centers on strong audio and design as part of its identity.

Clovers has recruited multiple PlatinumGames audio alums, including Hiroshi Yamaguchi, Hitomi Kurokawa, Aoba Nakanishi, Misaki Shindo, and Hiroki Niwa. Roles listed include lead composer, music writer and lead sound designer, covering composition and sound design duties tied to Okami 2. These hires connect veterans from Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101 and NieR: Automata to the new project.

For players, the heavy emphasis on composers and sound designers promises a richly scored sequel with meticulous audio detail and characterful themes. Better music and sound design can sharpen immersion and make game moments more memorable. The concentration of experienced talent also signals that Clovers is building a specialized creative core for its early projects.
