The FreeWavz Earphones Are Perfect for Conscientious Gym-Goers

FreeWavz earphones join a long list of wearable fitness technology such as the Fitbit and Jawbone UP. The blue-tooth connected headphones are wirelessly configured so that users are able to stream music, monitor their heart rate and track their O2 saturation.

Currently, the project is seeking funding through a Kickstarter campaign. Though the product is presently geared towards fitness, founder Eric Hensen imagines that it will eventually become an easier communication tool for your smartphone.

The earphones allow you to pause your music to listen to calls, as well as set up the health-related alerts that are most significant to you. This includes data such as your distance, time, calories and duration. As an otolaryngology specialist, Dr. Hensen knows the human ear very intimately. The sensors are carefully arranged in a way that ensures proper functioning, without compromising sound quality.
