Sony Unveils the Flexible 'Float Run' Earphones For Athletes

A new style of headphones from Sony called the ‘Float Run’ is intended for people who prefer to exercise as they listen to music. The ‘Float Run’ boasts active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.0, a 10-hour battery life, and an IPX4 rating for water resistance. In contrast to conventional earphones, the ‘Float Run’ is made to sit outside the ear canal and is secured by flexible skull bands and ear hooks. Sony refers to this kind as "off-ear," meant to minimize pain and prevent earbuds from coming loose when engaging in intense activities.

Weighing a mere 33 grams, these headphones are designed to “deliver a more natural and wider sound” that doesn’t skimp on audio quality and comfort. The ‘Float Run’ will be sold in its signature black colorway at $129.99. Consumers can expect the pair to launch in February 2023.
