Lyft has announced that it will offer free or discounted rides to users who are traveling to or from a job interview or a professional training program. The program will launch in over 35 different cities located in the United States and Canada. The company spoke on its new promotion and stated it wants to help those "making their way through the employment pipeline."
For the promotion, Lyft has collaborated with a number of nonprofit organizations, including Goodwill, the USO, and the National Down Syndrome Society. The company will look to the nonprofit organizations in order to find people needing a free or discounted ride. Lyft is attempting to make the free or discounted rides available to a wide range of people such as veterans, individuals with disabilities, refugees and more.
